Need Info

Does anyone know of a doctor and hospital for wls that will take medicare. I will be eligible for medicare in December and I want to be ahead of the game so that I can have my surgery asap. What test or studies should I have my primary request now? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Deborah, Yes, there are a few doctors around our area that take Medicare! Dr. Hunter, at the Federal Way Virginia Mason is currently accepting Medicare patients, as is Dr. Thirlby in the Seattle Virginia Mason. There is also a Dr. Cray in the Seattle Virginia Mason, but I don't know much about him. There is also a new WLSurgeon who will start taking patients in January, he is new to the area his name is Dr. Billing, he is in Dr. Robert Landerholm's office in Edmonds. One last Dr. that I know of is Dr. Simonowitz, who is out of Overlake in Bellevue. These are the only ones that I am aware of that take Medicare. Hope this helps. God Bless, Kimanne
