Lauren Merryfield is now a post-op!

Lauren's husband Jim called to report that her surgery went well and that her doctor was pleased. She had both a RNY and a hernia repair. The only issue that arose is that the ICU was too full at the University of Washington. (Lauren's doctor routinely places his patients with sleep apnea in ICU for closer monitoring the first night.) It appears that Lauren and some other patients will be spending the night in the recovery room before getting their own rooms. The highlight of the days was when they brought her in a bed in place of the stretcher!! Thanks again for all of the prayers and kind thoughts posted to Lauren's support page in the last few days!
