getting so confused about who takes what

Hi, I still have an appointment with Dr. Oh, next week, which I was looking forward to. My husband found his name on a Medicare list, but then someone from his office emailed us, saying that Dr. Oh doesn't take Medicare assignments. I wonder why not? It seems that as difficult as it is for some of us to have this done, drs would be willing to work around different situations. Medicare is my secondary, unless they change their minds tomorrow, (they've done that)but I don't know if this makes any difference. Premera is my primary, and they have an exclusion. Is UW really the only place around here who takes Medicare assignments? And their waitlist is several years out. I'm getting antsy about this because even though I don't eat any more, I'll gain more, the more time goes by, and the older I will get. Sorry for "worrying on the Internet," as someone put it, when she didn't want to hear my concerns. Thanks. Lauren
