DSHS help?

Has anyone had any luck getting surgery approval from DSHS lately? I have been trying since August and they have just started to look at applications again I understand. Anne

HI anne I am covered under WS Basic health regence...I have no idea what they are doing but was told by Dr. Fox's people they dont cover , but that was in 10-2003...if you have any info to share I would love to know, and I will do likewise ...my mother has offered to help pay but 30,000 is a lot of money..I think that eventually they will be forced to cover this ..if not just for legal reasons..any way e-m me anytime I beleive I am still going ahead with surgery just want to see if I can cut down major cost...good luck...Melanie P [email protected]

Hi Anne. Have you tried the dshs website? I found out that my medical ins through them does cover. Good Luck

I just found out that they are covering. Begining 2-1-04 they will begin taking authorization requests again.
