I am so worried about my Lisa Cohen

Hi all, I am on here begging and pleading for anyone that has answers to please give them. My new best friend Lisa is having trouble with low blood pressure. She was Hypertensive before surgery and last week her PCP put her on a diuretic and now she is experiencing light headed and dizzy spells. The surgeon said to eat and drink as much as she can. I am so worried about her so if anyone has some answers or suggestions please email her and let her know something. Thank you all in advance. Hi Adrienne, Diuretics can cause light headedness and dizzy spells, and so can dehydration. She should definitely make her physician aware of her symptoms. I hope that she feels better soon. Susan

I am someone who has experienced significant dizziness - especially when I stand up - from low blood pressure. I have always found that if I get in more calories and water, I am no longer dizzy. Hope this helps!

Is her PCP knowledgeable about wls? Perhaps she needs a differnet PCP. God bless you for caring about your friend. I pray she is better soon. Cindy

Thanks Cindy, She is doing well now. Her PCP was a friend of her husbands and he really is not an expert on WLS. He had her on diuretics and that was the problem. Once she came off of those all was well. Adrienne
