Brand New - Need Private Pay Advice (Medical Loan)

I'm brand new to the forum. I've been considering surgery for several years but have not made the decision until now. Because of the delay, I no longer have insurance. I am considering using a medical loan. I am looking for others who have already gone down this path and can share their experiences with me. Information on which company they used, how difficult the process was  and any other advice they would like to share.

I don't have any advise... but I did just see some thing on TV recently about medical loans.. and the biggest thing they said was NOT to get behind in your payments... since some of these companies have huge fees if you miss or have a late payment.

If you belong to a credit union, you can talk with them and see what they have to offer. I know I was able to take out a loan against the value of my car with a very low fixed interest rate due to the fact it was for medical purposes.
