Yes, I have had a double-balloon endoscopy. It is very similar to the regular endoscopy procedure, except the doctors are able to see more of your small intestine. The way Dr. Schembre (Virginia Mason) explained the procedure, he said it was kind of like a "push and pull" system. He placed a tattoo at the portion of the intestines where the scope ended (that was in the summer of 2007).  The following summer of 2008, he did another procedure but this time it was a colonoscopy and he was able to find the tattoo that he left the previous year, which let him know he had seen my entire small intestine. (Unrelated to WLS).

Good look with the procedure.

See ya on the other side of Skinnyville!!
