local revisions?

Anyone on the local board have a revision? I haven't found anyone on the revision board that's local.

I had a revision from a VBG in 2003 to an RNY 2009. There are a couple other revisioners here on the board.

I've heard that revisions to DS can only be done in a certain amount of time after original surgery because of the pyloric sphincter. I wonder if that's really true. I'll look into your surgeon, thanks!!!

it totally depends on the surgeon. some are reluctant to do revisions at all - others are just picky about who they'll revise, and some take on really tough cases, after years or multiple surgeries, or both. anyway - don't let a surgeon tell you it can't be done years later. it can.

Dr Richard Thirlby at Virginia Mason does revisions... he has been doing Bariatric Surgery since 1986.

Dr Oh has done zillions.

I had one, but it was in 2000, so kinda moot for modern stuff. Just an old staple line disruption since my surgery was done in a cave by lantern light i*****

I want one because I'm getting fatter. I'm not sure if that means I NEED one necessarily though.

As others mentioned , Dr. Oh does revisions . I had my RNY 9-2006 . My roomate was a revision .
