I've got lots of fresh strawberries growning in my garden . . . does anyone have a recipe for a strawvberry smoothie that bariatric patients can drink? Thanks.

Assuming you're not a dumper, throwing some strawberries in the blender along with a vanilla protein shake would be nice.... yummmmm

Here's a standard smoothie for me:
1. 1/2 cup milk
2. 1 scoop Designer Whey protein powder (french vanilla flavor, 18g protein)
3. 6 small strawberries
4. 3 ice cubes
5. 1 TBL sugar free torani syrup (today I used SF Toasted Marshmallow)

I crush the ice first, then add the milk, protein powder, and blend (I throw in my vitamin here too). Blend for 20 secs, then add berries and syrup, blend for another 20 secs and serve!

I like ice, fruit, greek yogurt or plain and what ever crystal light flavor for liquid.  Splenda for sweetness.  Not a whole lot of protein but low in sugar and very refreshing.
