I got my date!!

Hi Everyone! It's been a while since I posted anything but I got my date! I actually got it last friday. It going to be this Weds. May 13th! Dr. Beekley is going to be doing my RNY. I am excited and a little scared. I have everything ready-at least I think I do. Is there anything else I should know or be prepared for? I went through pathway and I went to Dr. Oh's seminar. Those of you who have had this procedure at Madigan, do you recommend anything?

Congrats on your date! Dr. Beekley also did my surgery he is great! No recommendation just remember to walk, walk, walk!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ANGIE!!!  I am so happy for you.  You sure did get it quick and I wish you the very very best! 

Don't you have to do the awful 14 day liquid diet to shrink your liver?  I'm on day 4 of that and oh how I'm craving even just a little piece of toast or something - and there out in the kitchen my sweet hubby is eating a huge egg omelete with toast, ham, cheese, onions - I'm starting to salivate again.........

Guess the only thing I can think of is make sure you have all your vitamins, minerals, and protein supplements at home and ready to use.

Hope to be on the looser bench with you soon.  My date is still set for May 21st if I pass my breathing tests with the pulmonary specialist.

I'm right with you about the excited and a bit scared - I am too!

Donna I am praying that you will pass your breathing tests with the Pulmonary Specialist. I have read the difficulties you have been through. Keep your head up. You are almost there.
