New and have an insurance question

Under the Group Health plan for the company I work for WLS is 100% excluded... no ifs and or buts.
Under the Cigna PPO plan the surgery was covered at my normal plan coverage rates...
I made sure I picked up the Cigna coverage for 2009. I started the process under a different insurance for 2008, then switched to the Cigna coverage for 2009. I plan to go back to the other insurance next year... the deductibles/copays and premiums are all lower by a few hundred dollars. Just make sure to check and double check all your insurance options before you pay out of pocket.
