Medicaid and psych evals

Does anyone know where to get a psych evaluation for a medicaid recipient? We will travel any where at this point!! Please help!!!

Your surgeon should be able to assist with finding a Social Worker or therapist to do this. If not, contact your medicaid social worker/case manager and ask for a list.  I was a bit disappointed by the process I had to go through for the mh evaluation (they didn't even call me until I was already scheduled, found out that I was scheduled, and didn't follow up. This is not a big deal to me, as I'm a therapist as well, but still....there are definate reasons that this step is put in place).

If you find out that you are to choose your own, then contact your local community mental health agency and discuss your needs with an intake worker.
