support groups

I had my surgery in San Francisco,but have since relocated to Tacoma. I have not found a Doctor (primary care  physician) and have not had any follow up for two years. i feel that I really need to get a checkup.  I have Medicare for hospital and Medicaid for other care. Can anyone recommend a doctor or clinic ,Please? Or a support group.

I hope you saw that the Tacoma Support Group "Thru Thick N' Thin" (TTNT) meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Pierce County Library Summit Branch (5107 112th Street East, Tacoma98446).  Here’s the URL for the TTNT OH group: http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/ttnt/.

My regular physician, Maria Flores, is in Burien.  She's awesome but I don't know if you would want to travel that far for your PCP (I live in Auburn and I don't want to travel that far, but I used to work near her office and now that I don't, I still go to her - she's been my PCP for 8 years).

My surgeon's (Dr. Srikanth in Federal Way) office lists a Dr. Craig Romney as a physician in Tacoma that works with his patients for pre-op requirements.  I've not seen him but I can tell you that every facility, physician, health care professional I've seen in my WLS journey was on Dr. Srikanth's list and I have been more than pleased at the care I've received and the knowledge and support provided.  Dr. Romney's contact information is:

I can't recommend a Dr because I go to Madigan but I wanted to welcome you to OH. My friend Susan has a support group in Tacoma once a month on monday and tomorrow is the day!!

   The "Thru Thick N' Thin" Support Group will meet on December 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Summit Branch of the Pierce County Library. We will be having a "finger food" potluck with everyone bringing SMALL portions of bariatric-friendly snacks to share. Please join us!
