She didn't, she just said it would....sorry don't know anymore than that:(  I decided to do self pay in Mx....

I delivered 6 weeks early a 5lb 15oz lil boy:)  After spending 2 months on bed rest in the hospital and Mason spending 11 days in the NICU, we're both home and doing great!  Mason is getting bigger and gaining weight like he should.  Now it's my turn to lose this weight!  It's tough to get back on the band wagon...I CAN do this!

I am still finding answers but from what I can find, I seriously doubt that GH will do away with WLS altogether.  I spoke to HR, Customer Service, and coworker.   Co worker said it sounds like your employer wasn't purchasing the rider for WLS and that the HR rep may not have understood it completely.    It is optional for employers to buy and cover the WLS or not.   Maybe it may be the case for your employer.   Besides, why would they do away with the program since it is very successful.

I work for GHC as well, and I've never heard any scuttlebutt about the WLS program going away. It seems highly unlikely to me since the entire premise of GHC is preventative medicine... think of all the diseases WLS can reverse, bring to a screeching halt, or entirely prevent.

IMHO.

I totally agree.  I will have to ask when I see her on Tuesday.  Maybe she can get out employer to do it.

Hi! I just got out of Overlake on Thursday, and Dr. Bock is doing his surgeries there for sure. I'm not a GH pt, but I heard that GH will be doing their WLS patients there now. I had a great experience there. It was definitely worth the drive. My Dr, Dr. Lauter was excellent. The staff was excellent. The
facilities were new,and very clean. I had a private room, which was a new , very pleasant experience for me. GH's brand new clinic is right next door. Good luck to you!
