7/18 Realize Band surgery a success

I had my realize band placed at 8am yesterday morning.  Everything went smoothly and I was walking around by 11:00am.

The best part is that besides the expected abdominal soreness, I can barely tell the band is there!

Everything went better than I expected. :)

Anyone else get banded just recently that has had the same experience?

Congrats on being a new bandster, come on over to the lap band board and get aquainted with everyone. We're always more than happy to share advise and support, great board.

Glad to hear everything went so well for you.  I had quite a bit of soreness (port side) at first and nausea too.  Some do, some don't.  Oh well, I am feeling great now...6 weeks out.

You must have been line before me!  Dr Billing also did my lap band that morning!  I'm glad your procedure went great!  He had to fix a hiatal hernia so I think I have one more"owie" than I would have had.  I'm really astonished that things are going so well.
