raising money for weight loss surgery. Help?

I am not sure what you need to do for your medically supervised diet... but I did mine at the Virginia Mason Federal Way clinic with Robin Beeson RD.  She was great!  Very encouraging, helped me with my goals and I really feel prepared for Surgery.  Well... when I get approved... Helen

Hi.  I'm new here.  Is Premera covering your surgery?  I have Premera too, but the policy says they won't cover treatment for obesity.  Please tell me if there's a way to get them to cover it.  Thanks!

Yes, Premera is covering my surgery.... only because my employer added it to our coverage.  Sorry I am not much help.

Did they add the coverage at your request?  If so, how did you persuade them?  And, did it cost them much money?

Our Human Resources department added it to our coverage.  I do not know if cost any more to add WLS to our coverage.
