Port site

I had my surgery on New Years Eve and everything is going well so far, however, my port site is very, very tender - hurts to bend over and is a little red around the incision.  Is this normal for three days post op?  Thanks!

First and formost call Dr. Cagle's office they are awesome and will be glad to advise whether you need it checked. They are a wonderful group!

The port is always the sorest spot.  It is because the port is sutured to the muscle and the muscle hurts!  But, redness around the incision could mean an infection.  Best to check with your doctor.

Howdy to another Vancouverian!  Has this been resolved yet?  The redness?  Like the others said tenderness is normal.  But the redness isn't. Lori
