I am in Vancouver..Where are some of you getting your fills?

Hello, I will be having my surgery soon and going to mexico. I was wondering where in the vancouver area are you getting your lap band fills. I want to find someone and be prepared for when I return. Thanks  Stacey

I'm not aware of anyone getting fills in Portland.  As I said before Legacy Good Sam won't nor will OHSU.  The people at SW Washington (Dr. Cagle & Dr. Dally) don't, either.  This is why it is critical to find someone before you have surgery. There is only one person I am aware of in Portland -- Dr. Kelly Fitzpatrick -- who does fills but it is also my understanding that she's getting rather busy and is trying to focus more on patients in the Eugene area, not Portland.  Here's a link to her website:  http://gastricbands.com/index.html. Besides Dr. Fitzpatrick, who is the ONLY person in Portland that I believe is doing fills, I believe Dr. William Neal may do them for Mexico-banded patients.  His office, however, is located in Olympia.  Here's a link to his website:  http://www.pacsurgical.com/. I hear they are both good with aftercare and fills but have completely different approaches and Dr. Fitzpatrick doesn't have the resources available to do her fills using fluoroscopy which is an incredibly helpful tool in determining fill levels (but tends to cost more because you're using radiographic equipment and time) and diagnosing potential complications. I've never met with either one of them.  Most of the people on these forums have had their bands done in the US. While there I did check and found that Fill Centers USA has an office in Auburn, Washington, too. I think that "locally" these are your best three choices and, truly, only one is really local.  Also, I believe most of the Mexico banding doctors are supposed to have coordinators that help you find fill doctors in your area in the US.  What have you been told about that?
