New to site

Hi, I am new to the site and am looking support and information in my area. I had surgery 8/24/07 I chose to have the lapband. So far everything is going well with healing and getting around. I find myself still eatting too fast and feeling really hungry tonight. Any suggestions? Thank you Machelle

Welcome.... Have you had your first fill yet?

I guess my first fill will be in 4-6 weeks. Today is my 5th day post op. Maybe things will change when I'm off the liquids.

I'm getting banded on 9/6/07, but just attended a Nutritional appt today that dealt with your situation... they said to use the little med cups the hospital gave you (pills and/or ice chips) to measure out only 2 Tablespoons at a time...and chew, chew chew....

Hi, I am new to this site, too.  I am waiting for insurance approval for my surgery.  I work in Kent and live in south Renton.  I will be looking for a support group soon.  Can anyone help me with this site?  I need to know how to put a ticker on.  I am totally lost trying to set this thing up. We have two this week in Puyallup, Tues (9/11) & Wed (9/12) at 7pm. Pick one or both. Doctor or surgery type don't matter and your adult support person is welcome with you.

I had surgery MAy 31st and the first few days I was hungry . After my first week visit I got to drink protein shakes and that helped alot. If you can eat you are lucky I had to wait 1 month the last few weeks were horrible because I was starving.
