I;m on SSI and when I had the wls in Sept 2005, I was told if I lost at least 79 lbs, Social Secuties insurance (I can never keep straight which on that is) I've lost over140 lbs and have been looking for plastic surgeon in state that will do the surgeries I need. Any one have any info? I'd like to get on with my life and I can't seem to get past how gross I look to me (naked) certainly not fair to let anyone into my life when I know I won't allow any relationship move on to a more intimate level. Not fair to other person when I know this going in but they don't

Hi there.  This is something I am concern with down the road for myself as well as other are also with now and down the road with as well who are on medicaid and/or medicare.  I have contacted HRSA (Health and Recovery Services Administration) awhile back and asked if plastic surgery is covered to removed excess skin and ONLY if MEDICALLY NECESSARY.  So somewhere, someone is contracted with DSHS.  You will need to contact HRSA and asked.  Here is MAA's website of contact info to e-mail (look under public)...  http://fortress.wa.gov/dshs/maa/contact/contactus.htm  ---> OR <---
