private insurance for lapband

I am looking for a private insurance company to cover the lapband or a place that will finance the cost for someone with poor credit history. thanks

You may be able to find information on the insurance forum. I'm not aware of any who do lap band specifically. I know that CapitalOne has a branch devoted to credit for medical reasons but I don't know what type of credit you have to have to apply. Good luck! Lori

There are no private insurance companies that cover any kind of weight loss related surgeries. I did extensive research trying to find one and never even came close. I financed my surgery with capital one. My credit isn't bad though. But it still might be worth checking into you just might have to pay higher interest. Good luck Corinna Q
