Last week there was a thread regarding this walk. I wanted to follow up. On Dr. Fox's website (http://www.aboutsurgicalweightloss.com/) the date, place, time of the event is posted as: Walk from Obesity September 30th Location: Stewart Middle School Registration: 9am-10am Walk: 10am-12pm More about the walk can be found here: http://www.aboutsurgicalweightloss.com/currentevents/walkathon.cfm You can print out the registration form and bring it with you... http://www.walkfromobesity.com/regforms/seattle.pdf Or you can register online at: http://www.walkfromobesity.com/seattle/index.php PLEASE plan to come. This is wonderful event for ANY fitness level. It's a weight-friendly event and a chance to meeet up with others who share our struggle. It's for a cause close to our hearts. Pre-op, post-opt, support people, friends, info-seekers and the uindecided, those who've lost someone to obesity... all are encouraged to participate. I hope to see you there! If you are registered or plan to attend post so we know to look for you! I look forward to meeting you in person! Nancy

Nancy- I live one block from Stewart Middle School and I am planning on coming to the walk. I don't post much here, but I am a WISH Center Orphan and I am trying to get more involved for support reasons. I feel like I am floundering a bit, since their closure. Hope to meet you there! Roxanne

Roxanne! It'll be a pleasure to meet you. I can imagine that the closure has thrown you quite a bot. I look forward to hearing the details of your story in person. Don't lose heart and try to believe that the timing is for a reason - a good one. Nancy

Well , Nancy I would normally love to do the Obesity walk , but I can't . I have two very good reasons . I have a torn meniscus , which will get repaired in a month or so . And i'll still be in the hospital post-op from my WLS . But i'll be privately cheering you on . Next year i'll be there ,i'm sure . Kathy
