Medicare Approval

Hi; I am anxious to find anyone who has got the lap band Lap Band under Medicare approval. I am all ready for the surgery as far as needed document but now they say they have to be approved by Center of Excellence. I am wondering if anybody who is Medicare (65years and over) has been able to have the surgery by insurance only!! Thanks for any help, Keep smiling, Carol in Seattle.
