Thank you so much for the reply! I agree it could be just about anything. Just always worried a good thing (sleeve) will go wrong, it's in the area of where my crap band port was so first thing I thought of LOL.

Thanks in advance! I am nine years out from revision from band to sleeve. No issues until I vomited last week (haven't vomited since surgery) now I have pain middle to near ribs and stomach hurts when deep breaths, hick-ups ect.

I am also band to sleeve revision! Both done at the same time with hernia repair and scar tissue removal, self paid for the sleeve portion and well worth it!
I feel "normal" again, water doesn't pool, food doesn't get stuck, no bump (port sticking out) and no heartburn are just some of the benefits for me!

Unless your go to binge food is solid protein the sleeve won't stop you. My go to foods used to be dry cereal right out of the box, crackers, chips, ice crean and baked goods all of which I could eat now no problems.

My taste and sense of smell changed after my revision surgery, I had the band before that and nothing changed after that surgery. Now it is getting better, some things made me sick from the smell shortly after.....too funny!

I like Quest bars particularly the white chocolate raspberry and the cookie dough, pumpkin pie is also good but only comes out in the fall. Quest is the cleanest bar I personally know of.

I was thinking of going to OA but don't like a in person group setting do you know of any people having success with OA online? Sounds like you got some great tips on coping, I particularly have a problem when under stress/angry.

If your far enough out Quest protein bars might work, they are pretty "clean" as far as bars go.

Thank you so much for your clear response! I had 7 years with the band so knew how slider foods affected it but the sleeve is still kind of new. With the band a handful of nuts filled me up with the sleeve major slider so those are no longer allowed lol!

Loving sleeve life and appreciate all the help from this group!
Curious since reading various other support group questions, there is a wide variety of responses to questions people post and not sure what is fact or fiction.
Ok, these are the ones I am most curious about:
- Weight loss stops after one year.
- Slider foods can stretch the sleeve
- The sleeve can stretch
- Eating only 6-800 calories will put you into starvation mode

I eat salad and use baby spinach ( has more nutritional value than iceburg) and have no issues.

I freeze portioned out cooked ombination steak and chicken fajitas (without the tortillas of course) right from the freezer to micro add salsa and avocado! If I use takeout I get 6 servings from one order!!!

Love St. Augustine!!! Try the gym you might be surprised, I've never been shamed at the gym like other places, think about it they know you are there trying and know first hand how hard it can be to work out. The first step is the hardest, you might find you love working out....some of my greatest support comes from those at the gym. There will be haters everywhere and there may be some but for the most part they are too into themselves wondering who's looking at them to notice you.
Just go as a guest in case you don't feel comfortable or if you decide it's not for you. If you have someone that will go with you that might help.
Put on some comfortable workout clothes and walk in there like you own the place.......don't let anyone stop you if it's what you want!!!

I had my band removed, hernia repair, scar tissue removed and was sleeved on July 8, I had been banded 6/08. I love sleeve life, it is everything I thought the band would be, no regrets....ok 1 regret I wi**** would have been an option when I was banded!

I was revised in July....the sleeve is everything I thought the band should have been and then some!!! I feel normal now!!

Congratulations!! I had a lapband to sleeve in July , you are going to love it!!! So happy to have that band out of me, in my opinion the sleeve works like the band should have!
