I would follow up on that. If you're having a revision due to problems with band, it could be covered.

Some people look for a revision because they gain all their weight back because they went back to old eating habits. Those revisions are not medically necessary.

Get clarification and work with your doctor's office. Appeal the denial.

Hope it works out for you.

2 weeks ago I was given a surgery date of 9/27/19.

This morning the surgeon office called to say they see my insurance only allows bariatric surgery once per lifetime!

Meanwhile I have spent countless hours and money for 3 months of classes and dr appointments. Not to mention work I have missed $$$.

I sobbed when told about this. I called insurance, who by the way told me i was covered when i gave the lapband code and revision. They have to review the phone call from April.

So it will be there word against mine. I'm heartbroken ???

Thank you! I just told my boss today. She seems really supportive. Just got out the vacation book and marked me off for the time. So I'm good to go!!

My last step will be the upper GI which I cannot have until 10/2... So it looks like I might end up having surgery in November or December... I guess there are advantages ...

My dr called me yesterday and asked if I could come in sooner than my sept 11th appointment. I am off today, so I went in. AND WALKED OUT WITH A SURGERY DATE!!?!?! Yep, Sept 19th! I start my preop diet on Sunday. (Because I have plans to be out of town on Friday ?) I'm having a lot of conflicting emotions right now. I called my mom and let her know, of course. But everyone else I tried to call/text didn't answer. Just makes me realize that everyone is busy with their own lives until they need me. Anyway. I'm so excited/terrified. I'm extremely blessed for this to be happening quickly. I hope every one of you guys is having an awesome day too!

Rocking size 14 jeans since I can remember. Still have the same restriction I had 8 months out. Eat tiny amounts of whatever I want. Crave protein- not a fan of sugar. Have density issues so easy to avoid bread and pasta- sits too heavy on my stomach.

Been a long time since I checked in- just wanted everyone to see that success is possible if you follow the rules
