I know exactly what you mean. I feel like I have not given regular dieting enough of a try. The fact of the matter is, that whenever I tried to diet, it always worked. I just did not keep going. Maybe I can do it now? I don't know. I saw this lady yesterday on Instagram who weighed 567 pounds and has lost 234 pounds just by diet and exercise. No surgery. Makes me give this whole thing a pause. I will go to my last class at my surgeon's and then make my final decision.
Congrats! I just got my surgery date! It's December 9th! I was super excited when I got the date, mostly because at first they said they didn't have anything until January and that's when my 5,000 dollar deductible was to to reset (I met it for this year) now I'm a bit more nervous that excited. Maybe you're feeling a bit anxious now?

Nope, I haven't put anything on my scars from any of my surgeries. They healed up just fine without any Neosporin or scar cream or anything!

Hi all!
5 weeks post OP and doing great. Saw my doc for my 2nd follow up and he asked if I was putting anything on my incision spots. Did you all put anything on yours once they were healed up and non scabby? Wondering if this is something I should be doing.
I imagine he would have told you if he wanted you to put something on them.
Some ppl do foolish things like put peroxide on them . He was probably trying to make sure you WERENT putting anything on them and was glad you were not.
You do not need to do anything to treat the scars. They will fade in time. I do remember using Merderma, but I don't think it made any difference.

My husband had his surgery Oct 2018. He got protein powder and put it in everything...yogurt, applesauce, etc....

Realise that noone is entitled to your medical history, so if wait staff comment or indeed, anyone comments on what or how you eat. A simple, "it was delicious, but I'm full" is PLENTY of information.
If your surgeon is one of those that gives you a card asking for permission to eat off the Children's menu, tear it up and put it in the trash. Kids meals are not good nutrition! You draw attention to yourself and frankly a restaurant is under no obligation to allow you to do so! Choose an appetizer or entree and take the leftovers home. I choose off a menu depending on what i think will reheat well or only dress half a salad etc.
