I don't think I used anything other than my phone (and charger). I slept most of the time I was there...
The only things I used were shampoo, toothpaste & toothbrush (they'll give you that, but it's nice to have your own). If you're only staying overnight, you won't even need shampoo. If you're staying two nights or more, pajamas or a robe would be nice for walking up and down the corridor. They'll want you to get up and walk as soon as you can to prevent blood clots.
Is it normal to run low grade temp right after sleeve surgery? Also has anyone's staples leaked? How rare is it?
thank you
Chapstick is most important. Other than that a phone and charger. The hospital will provide everything else. It is usually a one night stay.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
SuMari, thanks for the congrats. I'm getting a bit weak in the knees thinking of all of this, but I just read other posts and it helps for the most part! I'm not great at being on here all the time to post, but I need to do more. I can see the support!

Hello jbskaggs,
I am a support person for someone going through the surgery process soon, but read your post and had to say I'm praying for the best outcome for you. Just stopping by to wish you the best.
Hi everyone,
I'm supporting my daughter in this process and I'm wondering what you took to the hospital in your bag and what was the most helpful item you took?
Thanks!
I am sorry to hear about all that you are going through. I hope and pray you are feeling better soon!
Very late reply, I was looking for the post on back to basics but couldnt find it, can you link it for me. I need to start getting on here daily.
Congrats! I am still waiting to see a surgeon/dietitian so I'm just kinda doing things on my own but thankfully, I have not gained anything during the quarantine, which is a shocked since the last few years of my life every time I got on the scale, it seemed to be more than the last time. Praying things get moving soon! Can't wait to see your progress!
