diet Rx to boost weight loss/metabolism?
I've had setbacks too and have gained starting with foot surgery in January, I need to get back down! I'll be calling my doctor or the nurse about my weight gain, I need to get this under control. I haven't been able to do as much exercise since Jan and I know that's part, but stress eating also, not anything off protocol but has to be portion sizes too!
That's what I've realized I did. Portions increased in meals and snacks. I don't snack to snack - but truly feel like I need it for fuel a couple of times a day. I am much more aware now and will stay focused about it.

It might explain for you. I did this and it helped along with the Whole30 diet program. The meds gave me the kick start I needed to start this program. My doctor would only give me the phentermine. I lost about 12 lbs in about 5 weeks without calorie counting or measuring. Just cut out my problem foods. There is tons of info on Whole 30 online, you don't need to pay for a program. Walmart has a lot of its compliant products. Your weight gain might not feel like a lot to some people but you do not want to let it get out of control again. Its a slippery slope.
Thank you Linda...yes! Congratulations to you for doing well, and thank you so much for sharing. I will look into it.
Phendimetrazine. I'm down 5 pounds. Returned for 1 month follow up. Been hesitant about this process but blood pressure has remained steady, and I have felt good.
I realize portions had increased and frequency of "small snacks" had been adding calories. Lab results were very good but did show post menopausal - and there are hormonal issues that begin to affect the weight process. Especially inches gather in the abdomen area - which I had noticed but attributed to diet.
Overall - it is going well. He repeated meds for 1 more month, and I return 9/3.
Hi, I'm not good at this forum and the messages! I only just now found this part that has the emails! How are you doing these months later? I'm struggling to lose as well, I gained during this last 14 months, partly because of the lock down partly for the reasons you mentioned and partly stress eating.
