Has anyone had a revision or resleeve?
Hello all. I was sleeved in 2011 and was doing o****il I had some tragedies in my life and things drastically changed for me, including my eating habits. I want to get my health back on track now and dieting just isn't working. I'm interested in hearing from some people who have had revision or resleeve surgery. Thanks, Larry
Unless you've had medical tests done that show there's something wrong with your sleeve, then your tool probably works just fine. Dieting didn't work because it never works. You have to change the way you eat permanently. Go back to logging, weighing, and measuring everything you eat. Eat protein first, and cut out all the crap, chances are you'll be able to lose weight.
Some of us have gone back to Weigh****chers to deal with regain and stay on track. At the moment it is online or Zoom meetings. I like their program and the accountability. For a while after surgery, it is easy to keep the weight off, but that goes away. I accept that I will have to either be on a diet or weigh more than I want to.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I am interested in this also. I have an appointment with my surgeon next week to discuss this. Of course, insurance will be the ones ultimately making the decision. Life and grazing got me. I have been undergoing cancer treatment and one of my drugs contributes to weight gain. I should have made better food choices. Same old story. I put on 40 pounds in 1 year. So, if anyone has experience with a revision I would love to hear all about.
