Hello The Wombat,

Fabulous advice. I absolutely never ever drink and eat my absolute platinum rule so that's cool, I do hate brekky if I omit it do you think that's OK? Plus I hate protein drinks so am worried about missing out on my protein intake. Having said that I didn't lose anything even when I hit my protein target daily last week.

I have established its the calorie in rake I need to reduce it and see what happens.

Some of us are breakfast people, and some aren't. I;m not.

The bulk of medical research indicates that if you simply aren't hungry in the morning, it's fine to skip breakfast.

If you are hungry, but you skip breakfast because you're in a hurry, you should make time for it.

"Starvation mode" is largely bunk. The reality is that a smaller body requires fewer calories to maintain. If you're eating 1000 calories a day, that may have provided a deficit when you weighed 200lb, but it may be your maintenance level for a body that weighs 150lb.

Bottom line? You'll need to cut calories further to continue losing.

Hello Sparklekitty,

I think you got it right, I need to drop the calorie intake now, will do from today, fingers crossed it works. I might just have to invest in some protein shake it's the only way to get a lower calorie protein hit.

Thank you everyone for getting back to me. All it takes is for someone to simply point out the obvious, something I was missing, about dropping my calorie intake. Is there a particular protein shake you guys can recommend that tastes palatable and not like medicinal gloop? And any yummy recipe ideas as I sacrifice carbs and veg at mealtimes to get the protein in otherwise I am way off the mark.

Am glad you guys are here to ask.

Thank you and I wish you all a wonderful prosperous New Year, roll on 2020!

IMO you will be more satisfied (hungerwise), ingest fewer calories and carbs, and get more protein, from eating chicken breast than drinking a protein shake. Chicken, turkey, and fish are your friends right now, just don't dredge them in flour and deep fry them or anything like that!

I'm good! I'm venturing into keto eating after putting on more weight that I was comfortable with over the holidays. So far so good, I love it and it's working. How are you?
