OH GOOD GRIEF! SUDDEN REGAIN
I missed 3 days of weighing (just busy mornings with doctor appointments etc) and when I got on this morning I was up TEN pounds! Aagh!
I have had a med change, and looked it up and sure enough, side effectts can be sudden gain. So with doctor's permission going off
Will drop calories, increase protein, push water and WALK.
Prayers appreciated. A bit upsetting.

It takes 3500 calories above your RMR to gain a pound. So unless you've managed to pack in 35,000 calories in the past three days, your scale is just screwing with you.

It can get you before you can react. I try to weigh daily in maintenance because not only I know how much my body can fluctuate, but I also can catch things like minerals loss, dehydration (I need minerals and water to fix that) and constipation. Also sudden weight gain that can't be explained with things like constipation, of carbs loading - need to be addressed before it jumps to a much higher number that could be not only depressing but also more difficult to correct.
Good luck with the new meds.
