I was 345 pre-nutrifast and have only lost 20 lbs in the last four weeks.

I am following eating and drinking guidelines.

I dont understand what's going on.

Anyone else with this experience?

TIA

The surgery will not magically make you lose weight faster..it's just a tool to help you stay on track. The weight will come off - you may also have swelling now from the surgery and anesthesia. Stay on track and stay positive, move as much as possible. Good luck

I agree with mmsmom, your body is still adjusting to major surgery! Before you know it the weight will start to drop off if you follow the surgeon's guidelines. Stay hydrated and hang in there!

I've been hanging out on OH long enough to notice that people with 30 lb drops the first month seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Although I have no hardcore data to back this assertion, it seems like a lot of us lose in the 15-25 lb range the first month, so you're right with the rest of the pack. I only lost 16 lbs the first month, yet I managed to lose all of my excess weight. In the end, your level of commitment to your program is going to make MUCH more difference to your ultimate success than your rate of weight loss will.

Trust the process. Follow the rules to the letter and you can lose to your goal weight.
