How are things going? Did you get off the pasta wagon? Hope you are feeling better.

Hi. Yes I did get off the pasta and got back into ketosis, but I ended up getting out of ketosis again. That was because low-carb always gives me elimination problems. My weight was also going up because of those elimination problems. After a bit longer I'll get back into ketosis. I'm probably going to be one of those folks that cycle in and out of ketosis, but I'll need to research the cyclical style a bit.

Whether you are in ketosis or not dense protein will make you feel full sooner. Don't stress about being in ketosis.

My Doc's mantra always was protein first, then veggies and then IF you have any room fruit then carbs.

Yes, fruit is good. I like fruit a little too much sometimes. I have a tendency to just eat fruit for the juice and discard the fiber part. Yeah, I know. That's not helping the elimination problem. For example when I eat an orange, I don't eat all the membranes and pulp. I just discard all that so it's just like I poured myself a glass of orange juice. But I know those calories and carbs add up fast, so I don't have fruit too often now.

When you are trying to lose fruit and carbs should be in the occasional bracket....

True. And I do have about 50 more pounds that I would like to lose, but it looks like I'm out of the honeymoon phase now. I had the sleeve back in June. It was a revision from a band so I'm told (after the fact of course) that my weight loss won't be as much or as fast as those who had sleeves as their first surgery. I'm so lucky.

I'm not a revision patient, but I kept losing for 18 months. It slowed down to a crawl after about the first six months, but I kept going....little by little.

Hopefully my weight loss will start up again if I can be extra good, that is.
