Just because "some other people" were able to use an online service does not mean that you can. Everyone's insurance requirements are different, and each patient generally has a different process to approval. Stick with what your insurance company told you :)

Hi there and welcome!

I'm sorry that you're running into this challenge, it's annoying, eh? It's almost like insurance doesn't want people to have WLS with all of the hoops we have to jump through. And of course there's the double whammy that mental health care sucks and due to CMS reimbursement rates a lot of providers don't accept Medicare and Medicaid.

Ultimately, you do what you have to do. The nearest psychiatrist I could find for my psych eval was about an hour drive away. I would have gone 90 minutes if I had to... and whined about it :P

So, yeah, I recommend just sucking it up and making the drive. Or shelling out the $300. I'd have opted for the drive. :)

I decided to do that because as bad as the drive sucks, i would rather pay for the gas in my big suv than pay the $300 for someone who has a staff that's super rude. I gotta suck it up lol I've made so many sacrifices this far so what does another one matter. Gotta put my big girl panties on and suck it up
