Online Counseling/Telecounseling

Hi there!

Has anyone found an online counselor that works well for them? The counselor at my surgery center is wonderful, but I live over 3 hours away and it isn't feasible to see him for appointments. With my schedule, telecounseling would be a nice option, especially with someone who understands bariatric patients.

Thank you in advance for your help!

have you considered asking your present counselor?

If I go to my insurance company's mental health portal, telehealth is one of the options I can select. Do you have access to something like that? If not, you might consider calling your insurance company and asking.

Our local health clinic has both a psychiatrist and a licensed counselor that patients "see" on a tv screen. I am so thankful for this as i live in the mountains.
