Has anyone had the stretta procedure after VSG? What was your experience? Where did you get it? Thanks!

"Stretta did not improve GERD symptoms in patients post-LSG at short-term follow-up, and about 6.7% complication rate was reported. Patients were not satisfied despite the decrease in PPI dose."

(I've requested the full article, since I only have access to the abstract. I should get it in a few days.)

I had Stretta in Jan 2018. I have had positive results after it.

At my six month check up with the person who did it,I reported episodes of reflux 3-4 nights a week down from 7 nights a week.

he felt like another Stretta treatment would improve that even more.

Now, at nearly 11 months out,I am also very nearly reflux free. I need to mention that I have always believed that stress played a part in the reflux and about the same time the reflux became nearly non existant,I removed a large stress causer from my life.

I had my procedure at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville,Tn,at the self pay price of $7,700. Insurance wants to consider it investigational in spite of the fact that it was used heavily 20 years ago, before the Nissan Fundiplication was developed.

That is good to here. I hope more literature comes out about this procedure for sleevers that are dealing with reflux and don't want to do a revision. It's worth a try.. thanks for sharing..

Please keep us updated if you get this procedure done and if you are successful. I have been looking into this but haven't had it done yet.
