FYI.. the Instant Pot is on sale right now on QVC for 79.. and is on easy pay. Just finally ordered me one. Got to get back on here and on track. I have put on weight but also on the way back down. I do KNOW that coming to the forums on a daily basis and TRACKING on MFP makes one accountable and really really helps. Don't know who all is still here but doing it once again.. Need those kicks in the butt.

Welcome back to the forum, I've been away for a while, as well, and I hope a bit of encouragement will help me to get back to my goal weight.

Thanks for the info on the instapot. I've been thinking of getting one for a while.

best wishes

Carol

Oh I am so glad to hear from you. I have thought often of the friends that I had made when I was strong on here.. you, Grim, Gwen, Cathy, etc.. to name a few.. I keep coming back because I know that I need the support and encouragement and read others trials and success and failure and coming back. This was a big part of my earlier success and I know that it will be very beneficial for me again.. along with tracking, MFP, and being diligent and mindful.

Thanks, and I know you will succeed again. You were and are a great inspiration for me

IP will really help with your protein goals--stews, soups, chilis..all super easy. I like that you can sauté in, too. We were able to "donate" our slow cooker to the family vacation home after we got one.

I love my instant pot for making protein! I buy the "simmer sauce" pouches from Safeway and they work like a charm. This week I did pork stew meat with tomato and sweet potato, and ground turkey with green curry.

Would you share your pofk stew recipe? Is there a forum on here for Instant Pot recipes? Thanks

Happy to share! It's really easy and turned out great.

  • One package pork stew meat (about a pound)
  • A large sweet potato, cut up into one-inch chunks
  • A can of petite diced tomatoes in juice
  • One pouch of chipotle seasoning, I found it at the grocery store with the taco seasoning

Dump it all in the pot and cook on manual for 18 minutes. That's it! Super tasty :)
