This seems too easy!!
I had VSG 1 week ago. I am absolutely pain free. I'm drinking water and shakes and soup with no issues. I'm eating hummus, peanut butter, yogurts, Jell-O, apple sauce and scrambled eggs no problems. I stopped Pain meds after 2 days, and I slept as much as I could for about 3-4 days. Is this normal? I'm going back to work tomorrow and even hope to be able to coach at football practice tomorrow. Taking all my meds and already taking my vitamins except for calcium. Way too easy!! Tell me this is normal?
Lots of folks feel the same way. They think they were in some placebo group that didnt actually have surgery.
Then they get ****y. Tgge eat a littlevvtoo much, or too fast, or don't chew well enough. Then they get a pain where they feel like dying. Then you know you had surgery.
Fear and pain are useful. I've seen a lot of people that had an easy recovery, and had no problems eating pretty much anything. Those were the people who ate too much, too often, and struggled with weight loss. Just keep that in mind, and take it easy.
