Was VSG a Mistake?
Same as I was when you asked me in the menu the other day. I know I am eating right and drinking enough etc. which makes this more frustrating!
Then try not to worry too much. It's hard to have patience, but you'll reach your goals.

Looking back at your reply, it looks like you're only getting about 64 ounces of fluid a day, is that right? You might try increasing that and seeing if it helps. 64 ounces is the minimum, many of us find that more is better.

You have to remember that weight loss is basically science. You cannot sustain your weight on 600 calories a day...it's impossible. Stick to the plan, get off the scale (move it somewhere you don't have access for a month) - and keep the negative thoughts out of your head. They are as damaging as bad food. You will loose weight. Also, remember VSG alone will not magically make you thin - a person with a full stomach anatomy will lose the same as you if they eat the same - VSG just makes it possible to stick to the plan.
Better days are ahead, Cheri (my mother's name was Cherie) :D

Thanks and it is a good name! I've been on this diet (calorie intake) before, lost wt. as fast and the inches too but got stuck right smack where I am now. I have not given up but I sure am questioning it all. I think what has me most concerned is I have to lose wt. to save my life, my liver will continue to die if I do not, so I did this for health reasons in the first place but now it is a race for life once again. It is just hard, I have read many stories of stalls but this one seems so long I am still eating right, drinking plenty and doing the exercise my cardiologist agreed with... very frustrating!
OK Cathy and thank you, that is a very long time so I'm glad to have an idea it could be a long while but should break as long as I keep following the plan.
Your body is going through so much right now! You got this, don't worry! It is normal for you to be stressed and worried but you will get through this stall as long as your doing what your supposed to. I had to have someone hide the scale. It was the only thing that kept me sane and I just kept plugging along doing what I needed to. Please don't feel hopeless because this surgery could have just saved your life.
Too true! Stress = cortisol which can really screw up the body!
