Good morning! Almost quittin' time and I am ready to go. Been sitting in a patient room all night so I am nice and stiff. Walked up and down the stairs on my lunch break to try and get warmed up and a bit of exercise. I am tired though and ready to flop into bed!

A bit of a NSV or maybe it's technically a scale victory, but I am in a size 8 jeans. Now, I won't give it a full victory since these have a tad bit of stretch, but I will take my excitement where I can get it, dang it!

I actually ate all of my planned food tonight. I seem to do well with eating on my work weekends, it's the rest of the week that I struggle to get enough calories in. Last night was a good nutrition night.

QOTD: What is your current obsession? I am in LOV with crime documentaries on Netflix. Have been binging on them.

Breakfast: Fage 2% plain yogurt with 22oz of almonds in it

Lunch: Rotisserie chicken with bbq sauce, cottage cheese

Dinner: half of a turkey sandwich

Snacks: almond butter with celery, green beans

Other than the snacks, basically the exact same as my food last night.

I haven't replied to your other post, Mersh, but I wanted to let you know I've been thinking of you and your family. I know that, for me, the coping skills I learned thanks to WLS helped me to survive what life threw at me afterward.

I'm currently a bit panicky. I've got a group assignment due tonight and, out of the five of us, only two of us have completed the work required. I took the role of ring-leader/editor (since it's a power point and that's a job I'm good at) so I get final eyes on the assignment. The three others have uploaded initial slides, but not uploaded edited slides (and by "slides" I mean one freaking slide) and one of the three said they'd do the "explain the organization" slide and has uploaded nothing for that part. So... UGH.

But I've got parkrun this morning (yay!) and then Lance and I are seeing The Darkest Minds in the early afternoon.

QOTD: I wouldn't use the word obsession, but I'm currently really focused on school and finishing up this term and all the work I need to do by the end of next Thursday so that I can enjoy going away for a weekend for a mini-high school reunion!

1: 1 Clif Blok
2: protein shake
3: maybe salmon if Lance doesn't eat it?
4: grilled turmeric ginger chicken

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: running (parkrun - 3.1mi)

I had a lot of group projects in my MBA program, which I attended part-time at night. We didn't have the technology to connect remotely back then so had to meet in person. Group projects were ALWAYS a struggle where one or two didn't do what they had committed to.

I think they're even worse for online classes - at least with my group work for my in-person classes, I knew I'd be seeing my group mates! So I could bug them in person :D

With this class it's interesting because all communication is supposed to be done on a group forum that the prof has access to. So I feel significantly less pressure to DO IT ALL MYSELF, because I assume the prof can see everything that I have done and won't hold other people's lack of involvement against me. I hope...

That's really good! I hated when that one or two got the same grade but did essentially nothing and another group member had to cover for them.

Thank you for your thoughts! Every day is a new challenge, but I have started trying to do daily meditation and just clear my mind and decompress. It has helped over the last couple days especially.

Morning guys! I'm hosting a bbq/poker game at my place and I'm expecting a big turn out so I've got to get the house ready for company and prepare the food.

QOTD: I'd have to say yoga! I have mentioned this before, but I stopped practicing about 6 years ago. I started back on the spring and was loving it but now I feel like I've truly been bit by the yoga bug! I'm going to 4 one hour classes a week and I'd probably do more if my schedule allowed for it. I'm sooooo happy to be back on the mat. I feel amazing at the end of each class and I feel most myself.

B - coffee & protein

L - yogurt & almonds

D - cheeseburger no bun

Nice! I just started yoga a few months ago and am going three times a week. I'm really enjoying it and as a side benefit my extremely tight shoulders (and other joints) are getting more limber and I have better balance (really important as we get older).
