Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Monday, 7/30/2018
Happy Monday! Lance is taking the day off today and we're going to see FOUR limited release movies. We do have walking/food breaks between most of them, so hopefully we won't be too flat at the end of the day. We're seeing Won't You Be My Neighbor, Three Identical Strangers, Leave No Trace, and Sorry to Bother You. I'm excited, all the movies have great reviews! And it'll be awesome to disconnect from school for an entire day.
QOTD: What question can you ask to find out the most about a person?
1: protein shake
2: protein bar
3: gyro meat from Mediterranean place across from theater
liquid and vites: on track with the liquids, hopefully I'll remember to take my vites with me
exercise: maybe some yoga this morning
How about you? What's happening in your world today?

QOTD: I'm not sure it's the question to find out the most about a person, but I've always found that I can learn a lot about a person by the way they talk about their ex partners.

We had a cookout here with friends last night which was very enjoyable and both prep and cleanup were pretty easy. I should do more of that...
I have yoga and lunch with our Alzheimer's Support group today. It may be another good weather day too. Bills were just paid so at least that is out of the way!

Good morning! So I detailed my disaster of a day (food wise) on yesterday's menu thread, so I'm just trying to shake it off, pick myself up and move forward by making good choices today.
QOTD: Well, as a mental health counselor I hope it doesn't seem to Freudian, but I would say I gain the most insight into a person by asking about their family.
B - coffee & protein
L - yogurt and almonds
D - chicken and pesto
E - weights with trainer and yoga

Jess, I love what you said yesterday you were so very honest and look at all the things you normally would have done that you did NOT. I think you have come a long way and I hope when I fall off for a day I have the same courage and growth you have shown in that post!
Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot.

Hi All
Had liver blood tests at the Hospital Lab this morning, 7 vials, good news he got it in one try! Had to skip food for M1 and I am kind of tired this afternoon. It is a nice day today though and the swans (they have a pair) on the Hospital lake/pond were so lovely.
QOTD: What question can you ask to find out the most about a person? Well, part of my profession would be to ask about family/friends but seriously that can put a person on guard in the beginning or in a causal meeting. I think asking about what they like to do, like knit or read or watch movies, go dancing etc. I think that tells you a lot about them especially if you pay attention to the emotions in their eyes, on their face as they share this with you.
Water, water, water!

Hey all! Late post for me. I don't know why I say that when all of mine are late now since the days are meant for sleeping for me at this point in life! My eating today isn't great. I don't have the motivation to get the calories in today, feeling quite down today and just don't want to do a lot to get my calories in. Last night was insanity at work. Started the night in chaos, but made friends with a nurse I thought just didn't care for me! Then halfway through the night when everything had calmed down, I got a call and was floated down to the ICU to start it all over again!
