I wouldn't sugar tends to cause the dumping syndrome and trust me that is worse than anything you can imagine! I would see if you can return or exchange them, if not donate them to a church or food bank. It was an honest mistake, hard to find SF pre-made ones, if you can't in an aisle then try the fridge section.

Do you have dumping? I didn't know vsg had that issue.
We don't, typically, as it along with reactive hypoglycemia are a frequent result of rapid stomach emptying resulting from the lack of pyloric valve in the RNY and related configurations. But some individuals can - even without any WLS, particularly when consuming a high sugar (or fat, for some) liquid or slider that doesn't close the pyloric valve we can experience a similar rapid emptying.

Anyone can have dumping, regardless of whether they've had weight loss surgery or not!

yes Mersh, I did on day 7 from gulping about 2 oz. of Protein2o and it took me DOWN, even my Dr. was shocked at how bad, they almost had to put me back in the hospital and kept me on liquid diet for an additional week. I have never had a reaction like that before, or as much pain not even when I had a massive heart-attack and no the pain meds than normally knocked me out did nothing! I had cramps worse than labor or bad flu, then dry heaves, and sat on the toilet with diarrhea for so long my lower legs and feet fell asleep, and I was soaking wet from sweat. I am super careful now on how I drink things and what I eat. I have seen via youtube where many VSG people get a lighter but bad dumping from sugar but like I said I avoid any and everything that might take me on that road again.

Yikes! I am so sorry you went through that! I would have a panic attack thinking I was at death's doorstep.
