I deleted my menu post! Mine was a smidgen too late.
Have been trying to eat up all of my freezer food to not let things go to waste. I am bad about buying and letting it go bad because I don't like to eat. Have been trying to stay motivated to get my calories in. I will never find maintenance calories by under eating still. It's a lot of work and mental gymnastics.
For budget I also want to be less brand picky. I love fage, but the price does not love me!
Qotd: this last October was the first year I ever dressed up. I wore a costume to hand out candy. I always wanted to, but my size was an issue.
Breakfast - Fage plain, boiled egg
Lunch - deli meat sandwich with American cheese
Dinner - Jack's pizza
Snacks - Cottage cheese, almonds
Totals - 1214 calories, 77g carbs, 101g protein
Mersh, For a minimal investment (yogurt incubator which you can do without, but it makes yogurt a no-brainer), you can make your own- regular-Greek- for the price of milk. Have been making my own for longer than I can recall and it is way better than anything you can buy on a shelf. Heat milk, cool milk, add a bit of yogurt (saved from previous batch) stir, put in jar, incubate, cool in fridge, strain if desired, enjoy, num..
I have this one (found in thrift shop for 2.00--ditched the individual jars and just use one bowl-not so much fuss). They can be found for about , oh, $25.00 retail. I have one that is over 20 years old- evidently, they never die.

That looks really nice! I am going to check on them at Amazon.
You can also make yogurt in the Instant Pot. I haven't tried it yet but looks very easy. I think Liz on this post said she makes it using the Instant Pot
LOL! I made it once - I did the easy version with Fairlife Milk (allows me to skip the boiling part). You strain it with cheesecloth yo make it Greek.

Good morning! Enjoy your run and the movies. I'm not sure what is on deck for us today. It is still warm and muggy and a bit drippy this morning.
QOTD: I think you meant dressing up in a costume? I don't really like doing that though I have at times in the past for Halloween parties. I DO like dressing up in fancy dresses and heels now that I'm thinner. I have this great velvet/lace dress I wore for my class reunion and will wear for a wedding this fall along with some suede ankle strap heels. I love that outfit!

Yes! I do mean in costume. My brain wasn't totally awake when I posted :)

Hi All
Looks like a bit of rain today, but then that is a normal summer afternoon here lol. UPDATE: the little gal-friend of my granddaughter who was in the accident with the cement mixer, her mom sent out an update I will copy it here, but I am changing her name to just initials since I do not have parent permission to post here. " Update on our little girl. A.M. is doing well They pulled the vent today. She is breathing on her own. Seems a little restless with her right leg and right hand. She is still no wake but hey God is pretty amazing. She still has a long road to recovery. But we take the positive when there is positive. Please keep praying for our girl." What I found very interesting and good is the mom has requested anyone who wants to send a video to A. M. can and she will play those for her. This will help her a lot I'm sure!
QOTD: Do you like to dress up? At costume parties or Ren Faires or whatever? I use to dress up for Halloween at work but now that I am home I just figure I can be scary enough LOL, I do help my sister dress up every year for work on Halloween, it is her favorite holiday! I use to dress up all nice a fancy to go out to nice places/events but that was years ago maybe once I lose this extra baggage I will again.

QOTD: I really love dressing up for the Ren Faire every year, but aside from that, not really? I've always tended to roll my eyes at costume parties and Halloween since I'm a curmudgeon I guess. Although, the times I have dressed up for things like that I've enjoyed it. Go figure. Apparently there's a Doctor Who party I need to go to in October and some people will be dressed up - I'm not a Doctor Who fan, so I doubt I will.
