Egg drop soup?
on 7/23/18 9:01 am - Amarillo, TX
my mom's b-day is in a few days. She wants Thai food and i'm Wondering what your thoughts on egg drop soup is?
My mom mom feels guilty about me not getting anything from our fav restaurant. I do not feel slighted in the least...I knew going in I wouldn't be able to eat out an awful lot. We hardly eat out anyway but she still feels bad. I am curious as to options so she won't feel "bad".
my thinking was a small egg drop soup or maybe just an order of 4 shrimp. Any ideas are appreciated!

I would eat egg drop soup when I was first post-op and still on liquids. Just one warning - generally very high in sodium so you may wind up retaining some water and picking up a pound of water weight in the day after eating it. I'd go with the shrimp, so long as they aren't deep fried.
Keep on losing!

Is there a menu you can link for us? I've found that there's normally a meat appetizer, link chicken skewers, that'll work well for me.

I'd probably go satay as well. Or one of the soups, and drink whatever broth I want, then eat the protein.

My nutritionist added egg drop soup after week two post op. It was the only food I was aloud to have besides my liquids. I think it's fine. 4 shrimp would be okay too.
