Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Friday, 7/6/2018
It's Friday! Aside from fitness class, I'm home for most of the day so I should be able to get lots of work done on school stuff. Two days until deadlines for this week and then only one week of this three-class overlap left. I can't wait to be back down to only two classes. These eight week terms are rough.
QOTD: If you could have a never-ending candle that smelled like anything you wanted, what fragrance would you want it to be?
4+ years post-op (still working toward goal)
1: protein shake
2: the last (finally) of the leftover pork and mushrooms - I thought it was the last yesterday, I was wrong
3: Sous Vide Teriyaki Flaken Style Short Ribs (the sous vide is getting a workout this week but I'm making a dent in the chest freezer.)
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: zenga class

I was supposed to be on vacation yesterday and today but with this heat wave, I decided to work instead. It's tough to stay motivated when I know I could have been off. : / Today storms are supposed to come through and end this heat wave. Enough already! Also refrigerator repair person #2 is coming, but he has already warned me he is not licensed and his abilities are limited. Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!! The last guy (Tuesday) worked 6 hours on the frig and it didn't work any better after he left than before he came - and he scratched my hardwood floors.
QOTD: I love Yankee candles and recently bought one called "Love" which I liked alot. I also like clean cotton or laundry-type smells...but for a never ending candle I think something like Home Sweet Home would be good long term.
B: cheerios - one of my alternative refrigerators is gone (the RV) since my son took our reservation this weekend so food options are limited
L: leftovers from the 4th - maybe homemade sicilian pizza or calzone (the insides)
D: steak tips/veg
L/V: i expect to be fine
E: if it cools off, rain - have been meeting my steps without a formal walk

It is super windy here with the weather change coming (thunderstorms later). We were supposed to go on a sailing charter today, but it was rescheduled for tomorrow. Justice seems to be disturbed by the wind, though he was fine with the fireworks on Wednesday. Must come from being a Florida dog. He was a stray picked up in the county hit hardest by Hurricane Irma.
QOTD: Ocean scents are always my favorites! I love to get them from Bath and Body Works. I just bought some a month or so ago on sale all in water scents.
2 Years, 3 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 19 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Deli chicken OR Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Maybe taco meat!
S: ostrim meat stick, yogurt

Happy Friday! It's the start of my work weekend. I have all my meals prepared and planned out including breakfast! Though I am up very early when I work at night, but I have a doctor appointment. My primary takes 2-3 months to get into for a regular appointment. When I called yesterday to make one it happened she had a cancellation for today at 10am. While I didn't want to take it, it was better than waiting to have blood work done for my kidneys. Will hopefully have enough time to just come home and sleep.
QOTD: I love a candle I have that smells like honey! It's my favorite one. Other than that, I don't like any floral candles, they play hell with my allergies and give me headaches.
I'm totally the same way with florals. I love foodie scents, but only for things that I can't eat because they don't trigger cravings for me that way :D
It's great that your primary was able to get you in quickly considering how long it normally takes!

Yay Friday! Hi Gwen & everyone! It'll be a day of cleaning for me, which is awesome because then my Saturday will start in a clean house.
QOTD: So I'm allergic to the majority of perfumes and can't really have candles! It's such a bummer. But since this is imaginary I love the smell of lavender and citrus so I'll go with that :)
B - coffee & protein
L - yogurt & almonds
D - cheeseburger no bun & zucchini
E - squats, calf raises, maybe some yoga

I used to really dislike the smell of lavender - I don't like "floral" smells in general. But now that it's been a part of so many yoga classes and massages... it has grown on me :)

That's funny! I'm not big on most florals but love lavender. Probably from my yoga & meditation practices as well!

Happy Friday everyone! Finally had a thunderstorm early this morning that brought the temp down from blazing to tolerable. So my run this morning had a nice cool breeze. Cleaning the house again today because I swear these kids can destroy it in 2 seconds. My 3 year old keeps calling me Cinderella, I'm hoping its because he thinks I'm a princess but pretty sure its because he thinks all I do is clean and I'm the maid - haha!
QOTD - I got these Orange Buttercream Cupcake wax melts at Walmart that make my whole house smell like Froot Loops! It's my favorite scent that I use and every time I go I buy a few more.
B - coffee and Caramel Premier protein
L - Buffalo Turkey Meatballs
D - Its the bfs dinner night and he rarely cooks so probably go out to dinner
S - didn't have any yesterday so probably Skinny Mozzarella Sticks or a protein bar
Lots of water
E - Repeated C25K Week 1 Day 3, Squats, Leg lifts, Bridges, and Lunges
QOTD: Even though I can't actually eat apples (fructose malabsorption, not VSG related), I love their smell. The Macintosh Apple Yankee Candle is one of my favorites. Ditto for Honeydew Melon - can't eat them for the same reason, love the smell :D
