Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Wednesday, 7/4/2018
Happy 4th of July everyone, although I am not happy with my country right now, I have hope for it still and I'd like to think that those bronze stars in my family plot at the cemetery were not in vain. We went down and watched one of the best I've seen in years Fireworks last night at the Jackie Robinson Ball Park (they put it on after the game) it was just awesome! My sister works swing shift tonight so we won't be going anywhere and with my limited CLEAR diet no home BBQ either, she sure is a good sport about all this.
QOTD: Sundays, we take a ride and go out and visit the Pea****s.
Water, water, water! OK not enough water yet, but I am trying with this bruised tummy.
B - Premier Pre-made sake, Cookies and Cream - only 2oz.
L - Chicken Broth, SF Jell-O
D - not sure I probably will try some more of the Premier shake.
S - SF Jell-O and maybe some chicken broth..

I'm pretty disillusioned with what's going on in the country right now, but I still love it fiercely. I don't much care for July 4th (fireworks and pyromaniac boneheads) but I do remember and appreciate the sacrifices my family has made for the last 242 years to protect the liberties and freedoms that we often take for granted in this republic of ours. I'm in total favor of term limits as I think it's a real mistake to let the same old farts stay in office for 30-40 years, getting richer and richer by the moment. Anyway...enough of my soapbox.
QOTD: What's your favorite day of the week and why? Saturday, of course. First day of the weekend, with another day off to come. Friday probably runs a close second, anticipating the weekend!
I'm struggling with my menu. I want to get my minimum protein in, stay under 50 carbs and stay within my self-imposed calorie range (550-650). I'm struggling with wanting to graze/snack at night and I'm really trying to get that habit under control. So far this month, I've been successful with all of this, but DAMN. This is hard work and if anyone ever says it's the easy way to my face just may get throat-punched.
My knee is messed up again...I've been having trouble with this knee forEVER it seems. I've been getting on my treadmill every day for the past 16 days...and as is my tendency, I overdid it. I need to give my knee a break at least every few days, and build up my time and intensity more gradually than I have been. Again...if anyone ever says to my face that I've taken the easy way out, I'm going to drop-kick them.

I am dead tired beyond recognition. Decided to undertake a project that proved much bigger than expected. We turned one of the spare rooms into a pantry/storage. Set up beautiful shelves and carpeting and storage for linens, towels, house hold supplies, canned goods, dry goods, etc. All organized. That was tiring alone. Wanted to move the big freezer in there as well, we measured the door and it fit, the problem is it has to pass through the hall and the over sized commercial water heater (used to be/still is but not running beauty shop attached to this house) the spout/spicket or whatever sticks out and we did not realize this until we moved the standup freezer from the living room, through the kitchen, into the narrow hall and could not get it through. We attempted to tilt it and pick it up but neither of us had the strength to do it. Rather than take it all the way back to the dining room, we reorganized the kitchen and put it there. Then there is trouble with my mother, her trach got yanked out some how, had to take her to the ER from the nursing home.
Breakfast - 45 calorie bread with whipped greek cream cheese, cottage cheese
Lunch - We went to subway, I had them just give me the roasted chicken breast and I ate it with jalapenos, banana peppers, onions and tomatoes with provolone cheese
Dinner - Protein shake
Snacks - protein iced coffee, 6oz fage 0%, 100g of cherries
Totals - 725 calories, 32g carbs, 89g protein
Well, yesterday was 4th of july and i had all my cousins over and no refrigerator. I did hit about 1million steps on my fitbit - lol.
QOTD: I think Friday is my favorite day because I know the weekend is coming, lol. Generally as a child I always found Sundays to be the most boring day - and sometimes that creeps back in even tho I can appreciate sitting around doing nothing more now.
B: cheerios, iced coffee
Throughout the day: here's what was served and brought - so tastes of everything:
chips/onion dip/souvlaki skewers/caprese skewers/calzone/homemade pizza/shrimp coctail/chicken wings
steak tips/burgers/hot dogs/pesto pasta/summer salad (no lettuce)
cake/cupcakes/cookies/waterrmelon
i'm exhausted thinking about it.
