vitamins that don't cause nausea
on 6/14/18 5:42 am
I have tried many vitamins, including bari melts and I can't seem to find one that doesn't make me feel nauseated. I need to be compliant with my vitamins. Does anyone have any suggestions that will help me stabilize my labs and get me on track without feeling ill?

have you tried taking them with a meal?
I was going to ask the same question as Hollykim - are you taking them with food? I find that no matter what multi I try, it will always nauseate me unless I take it with food.

I take Bariatric Advantge vitamins (3 capsules a day). I hate the smell/taste/size of over the counter multi-vitamins so this works for me.

I usually have to take vitamins mostly the multivitamin with a meal. Maybe you should try the patches? It's kinda a mixed bag however with the results. Some do well & others not so much. You gotta really be on top of your labs to see if they make a difference or not. I do both.

Yeah, I have considered the patches but I read such mixed reviews and I can't afford for it to not work both on my labs and my pocket book. Oy Vey.
The patches work if you wear them while you are asleep assuming you get your full 8hours. You only have to wear your patch for 8hours out the day anytime after that it is not providing anything to you. However, I have not had my surgery yet but my labs were good. I also take a liquid Vitamin and I use Journey Bariatric Vitamins.
You may only need the multivitamin patch instead of the whole bariatric surgery package, which does reduce the cost somewhat. I bought the bariatric surgery pack. My dietician had a look at them, and wanted me to only take the multivitamin patch for now. Later on, if my labs indicate I need the other patches, I'll try them.

I am on a liquid diet due to issues but I could try and see if it helps
For me, even a protein shake works to prevent vitamin nausea.
