Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Thursday, June 7, 2018
It is Thursday (aka Friday eve)! Good luck to Tessie Loo today on her surgery!
Two days until we leave for Aruba. Today is laundry, finishing staging clothes and probably packing. I pack whatever will fit for Aruba (which is way more than I need), so I have choices. Truthfully we live in bathing suits and coverups until 5 or so every day. I will be more judicious about my Europe packing in September.
QOTD: What is your vision of a "perfect" weather day? For me it would be complete sunshine (a few picturesque fluffy clouds are okay), 80 degrees (Fahrenheit), low humidity, and a slight breeze (not too windy). And if there is the smell of ocean water present, that is icing on the cake. Aruba is close, except it is too humid, a bit too hot and too windy (but the wind helps with the other aspects).

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Tuna salad with pickles, cottage cheese
D: Shrimp
S: yogurt? Maybe something else to relieve low calorie boredom this week...

Happy Friday eve. Good luck Tessie Loo!
QOTD: I'm right on board with Liz - hot but not too hot, dry and a nice gentle breeze. I could live at the ocean - and the lake is a close second! We are camping next weekend at the beach (Salisbury) - and I can't wait. I'm hoping to get a little sun next weekend so that I don't fry in Aruba.
B: dry cheerios in the car (yes, I'm 6) and then 1/2 a muffin at work (no, I really didn't need that).
L: probably salad with turkey (my new work caf favorite)
D: leftover chicken with artichoke hearts, red roasted peppers in a wine sauce (take out last night) while tile was being installed in the kitchen
E: hope to walk at lunch and then with the dog.
L/V - good

Yes!!! we go to the state park which is bordered on one side by the Atlantic and one side by the Merrimac River. It's not really "camping" it's more of a big football field with driveways and a single tree per site, but it's nice for the beach and if you like fishing. Also, I'll plan on a lobster there!

What am I eating today? Well, I'm finishing my last 8 oz of water. I don't know what else will be going down the hatch today. OMG...the butterflies in my stomach...it's really happening! Finally!
QOTD: Perfect weather day is brilliant blue sky, full sun, 70-75 degrees with a slight breeze. And lots of big leafed out trees for shade. And I can find that right in my back yard, about 3-4 weeks out of the year. heheh
See you all on the other side!
Good Afternoon All!
QOTD: My perfect weather day sounds just like yours Liz! Warm, sunny, a breeze to cool you off and low humidity!

Hi guys! My June fitness & meditation challenge is going really well, and I'm feeling pretty great! Met my mom for a walk yesterday and ended up trying out a jogging pace. I jogged for about 30 seconds lol, but in the past 8 years the only time I ran was when one of my kids got badly hurt and did that screeching thing. I couldn't believe I was running. It made me a little emotional.
QOTD: Looks like I'm the odd man out, but I love cool weather. Cool sunny days where you need a light jacket or a cozy sweatshirt are my favorite. Ending the day by a bonfire is a bonus. The southeast is pretty stingy with days like that, so I soak them up when I can.
B coffee & protein
L - 1/2 Turkey sandwich
D - Turkey soup
E - wall sits, crunches, elliptical
