Long time since last check in!
I'm was 3 years post-op April 2nd. My total loss is 102 pounds. I 've gained back about 26 of it in the last 6 months. I've held steady at 226 for a while now and I know that is good, but I still feel like I'm failing myself right now. I'm struggling with motivation to watch my diet, count calories and exercise.
I'm bipolar 2, so I have an underlying depression all the time. I'm vigilant about my meds and my appointments with my doctor because I know the dangers of being lazy is asking for trouble. I'm having trouble finding that determination for my diet. I think my problem started when I missed logging in to myfitnesspal.com on a daily basis and lost my 820+ day streak last November. I'm just now getting a decent streak going, I'm up to 46 days. That has really helped me.
I don't think I'll reach my ideal weight of 165, it didn't happen when I was fresh out of surgery so I'm not worrying about it now. I would like to get back to 200 pounds, even 199 to break that 200 barrier would be terrific!
Any advice for a wayward soul looking to regroup and drop those added pounds?

You can still absolutely reach 165. It'll take more work now than it did during the first year, but if you buckle down and get vigilant about what you eat, it's 100% possible!

While I definitely don't discount the usefulness of a good support network, I know that working with a therapist has really helped me. It might help you to figure out what's going on with your motivation and to help you find your way to getting on track again.
It's definitely a challenge.
