Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Tuesday, 5/22/2018
Good morning, all! When I went to bed last night I felt like I was coming down with a cold and I feel more certain of that this morning, so I'm going to clear my calendar up a little and try to relax/heal. I've got physical therapy for my shoulder this morning, but I'll skip my lunch with my bereavement group later - I definitely don't want to pass any cold on to them! Once I'm home from PT I'll spend some time getting my life sorted out and working on school. I've got phone calls to make and the house still looks like suitcases vomited all over.
QOTD: Aside from obvious things like your wallet, keys, and phone... what do you tend to never leave your home without? (I'll answer in a comment.)
1: protein shake
2: leftover flank steak
3: it's leftover night here, so probably the hash brown crust quiche I made for dinner last night
liquid and vites: on track!
exercise: physical therapy for shoulder
How about you?

QOTD: There are two things I pretty much always take with me when I leave the house. The first is my "BuJo" which is short for Bullet Journal. This is like a daily planner/to do list/journal/scratch paper all rolled up into one. Mine is looseleaf in a DayTimer binder and I pretty much carry it with me everywhere. The second is my Kindle which, conveniently, slips into a pocket of my BuJo. I never know when I'll have time to read, so it's good to always have a book with me.. since I don't get to read much at home because there's always school work to do, or other work. Thankfully(?) my school's online learning interface doesn't work well on my phone, so I can avoid feeling like I need to work on school stuff when I'm out in the wild.

I have a friend who ALWAYS has her Kindle as well, as she reads whenever possible. She used to stay with us on Cape Cod (now she has a house near us), and I found out that she reads while she blow dries her hair!

LOL, wow. That's dedication!
When I was a kid and would announce that I was bored somewhere, my dad's reply was always, "Well, did you bring a book?" Or "Well, where's your book?" In middle school I remember I had a denim skirt that I wore ALL the time because it had front pockets that could hold a paperback. "Is it big enough for a book" was always a key selling point for any sort of purse, bag, or jacket.
I love that, now, my Kindle is so portable! I still won't buy a bag that isn't big enough for it, but that isn't a very high bar compared to print books. I just really hate being at the mercy of whatever is on a random waiting room TV ;)

Good morning. Counting down the days to a long weekend and getting my house in order too!
QOTD: Apparently nothing, lol - phone and keys do it for me. I used to carry a pocketbook, but my phone has a hidden compartment for debit cards, so I often don't carry the pocketbook anymore and go handsfree!
B: scrambled egg with peppers, cheese, 1 slice bacon
L: Cottage cheese, tuna and dill pickles (LIZ!!!)
D: chicken with tomatoes, wine, onions
E: hoping to get motivated to walk - my boss is not here and he is my walking buddy, also it's supposed to rain at some point
L/V: on track

Ditto for lunch! (Mine are kosher dill pickles)

My "purse" is pretty much a wallet that fits my phone and has a clip for my keys. So I totally get that!
